Gregory Browne concentrates his practice on business and healthcare litigation. He represents and counsels clients in all phases of civil litigation and arbitration, including examining witnesses in court, drafting pleadings and appellate briefs, managing discovery, arguing motions, working with experts, and developing litigation strategy.
Prior to joining Todd & Weld, Mr. Browne was a litigation attorney for a Boston law firm where he handled medical malpractice and construction defect matters.
During law school, Mr. Browne served as a judicial intern for Massachusetts Superior Court Judge Beverly J. Cannone and was an Honor’s Legal Intern at the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Obtained jury verdict rejecting breach of contract claim by owner/developer of senior living facility
Secured dismissal with prejudice breach of fiduciary duty claim in U.S. District Court in New Jersey
Persuaded the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine to unanimously adopt a recommended decision of an administrative magistrate to exonerate an allergist in a disciplinary proceeding involving medical care he provided to several patients seeking treatment for hives
Obtained favorable settlement in wage and hour matter on behalf of construction company
Secured a favorable settlement of a personal injury case involving second degree burns of a woman’s hand from spilled hot tea at a well-known coffee franchise
Following a bench trial, persuaded a Massachusetts Housing Court judge to bar a tenant from entering an apartment after the tenant flooded and attempted to set fire to the unit; subsequently obtained summary process eviction judgment
