Christopher O’Hara has been chosen by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as a Go-To Employment Lawyer.
Mr. O’Hara, a partner at Todd & Weld, has over 30 years of civil trial experience. A member of the firm's employment litigation practice group, he represents companies and individuals in a wide range of employment law disputes.
He advises companies on a variety of employment decisions from hiring to terminations, wage and hour issues, independent contractor classification issues, counseling on investigations, litigation arising out of trade secrets as well as noncompetition, non-solicitation and non-disclosure agreements, and matters concerning state and federal employment law.
He has litigated over 100 noncompetition and non-solicitation decisions in the Massachusetts Superior Courts, including the Business Litigation Session, in federal court in Massachusetts, as well as in numerous other state and federal courts. He also has extensive experience in Qui Tam/Whistleblower litigation under the False Claims Act.
Mr. O’Hara frequently represents senior executives in the negotiation of their executive employment agreements. He has negotiated over 200 severance agreements in the life sciences, banking/finance, information technology, insurance, and numerous other industries.
