Federal Trade Commission ban on noncompetition clauses expected to dramatically impact employment agreements
The Federal Trade Commission on April 23 announced a nationwide rule formally banning most forms of noncompetition clauses, which is expected to dramatically impact employment agreements across the U.S.
The Todd & Weld Employment Law Practice Group has prepared an Alert summarizing the new rule and what employers and employees can expect when the new rule goes into effect.
The rule is already being challenged in court by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Texas.
