Howard Cooper in news article offers assessment of nomination of Rachel Rollins to U.S. Attorney
Howard M. Cooper characterized as an “excellent choice” the Biden Administration’s nomination of Suffolk County District Attorney Rachel Rollins to be the next U.S. Attorney in Massachusetts.
"Her nomination presents an opportunity for real criminal justice reform in this district and the prospect of more thoughtful and nuanced prosecutorial decisions," Cooper told Law360. He criticized the prior administration for an "unjust federal policy that lands disproportionately on poor immigrants."
Rollins, if confirmed by the U.S. Senate, would replace Trump Administration appointee Andrew Lelling.
