Ingrid Martin, Max Stern to present at BBA's 2019 White Collar Crime Conference
Ingrid S. Martin and Max D. Stern are slated to speak at the Boston Bar Association's 2019 White Collar Crime Conference scheduled for April 22.
Ms. Martin will moderate the lead-off program of the conference, a panel discussion on health care enforcement trends. The panel will feature the Chiefs of the civil and criminal health care enforcement units from the U.S. Attorney’s Office; the Chief of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Division; the Director of Fraud Prevention & Recovery from Tufts Health Plan; as well as a compliance monitoring expert.
Ms. Martin, a partner at Todd & Weld, concentrates her practice on the overlap of criminal defense and healthcare law, representing a broad range of healthcare providers and entities, including pharmacies, medical device companies, medical practices, physical therapy businesses, adult day health programs, home health agencies, dental practices, and individual medical professionals.
Mr. Stern will present as part of a panel discussion on federal criminal sentencing in the District of Massachusetts. In addition to Mr. Stern, the panel, chaired by David Apfel of Goodwin, will include U.S. District Judges Douglas Woodlock and Leo Sorokin; Karin Bell, Deputy Chief, Criminal Division, U.S. Attorney's Office; as well as experienced criminal defense attorney Janice Bassil of Bassil & Budreau.
