Ingrid Martin to present on COVID fraud enforcement by federal and state prosecutors

Ingrid S. Martin is part of a panel presentation on the COVID fraud enforcement priorities of federal and state prosecutors.

The Jan. 14 Boston Bar Association webinar will address active investigations involving fake personal protective equipment, fraudulent Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) applications, unemployment fraud, and potentially problematic billing for healthcare services, among other topics.

Ms. Martin and the co-presenters, which include federal and state prosecutors, will also discuss task forces that have been established in support of these efforts and their work with other agencies and with private entities such as hospitals to identify fraudulent activity.

A partner at Todd & Weld, Ms. Martin concentrates her practice on the intersection of criminal defense and healthcare law. She has successfully handled trials and appeals in state and federal courts, and routinely counsels her clients in investigations brought by the DOJ, FDA, DEA, Office of the Inspector General of Health and Human Services, the Massachusetts Attorney General, and state District Attorneys' Offices.
