Jeff Catalano interviewed on WBZ News concerning fatal pedestrian accident case

Jeffrey N. Catalano was interviewed on WBZ concerning a fatal pedestrian accident at a dangerous Boston intersection and a pending claim against the City of Boston.

Mr. Catalano represents a man who was seriously injured in the accident that killed the man's girlfriend after being struck by a van as they were crossing a South Boston intersection on their way to a dinner with friends.

The City of Boston prior to the accident had received numerous complaints about a traffic light at the intersection of Melcher and Summer Streets that turned green for vehicles, while pedestrians were still allowed to cross.

“This is not a freak accident, it didn’t happen out of the blue,” Mr. Catalano told WBZ. “The city was on repeated notice from citizens and a multitude of people to do something before someone gets killed.”

In a letter to the City of Boston notifying it of a pending lawsuit, Mr. Catalano cites several notices the city had received warning the city of the dangerous intersection.

Mr. Catalano, a partner at Todd & Weld, represents victims of catastrophic injuries in auto accident and other personal injury cases.  On behalf of clients, Mr. Catalano has obtained numerous multi-million dollar results in cases statewide and nationally.
