Joseph Cacace and Elizabeth Olien to present on effective advocacy in remote court hearings
Joseph M. Cacace and Elizabeth E. Olien will present on effective advocacy in remote court hearings as part of the 60-Minute Lawyer series hosted by Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education.
The webcast, entitled “How to Be Successful in Remote Court Hearings,” will focus on helping litigators succeed when appearing in court by telephone or videoconference. Mr. Cacace and Ms. Olien will discuss their recent experiences in state and federal trial and appellate courts and offer practice tips on how to prepare for remote hearings, avoid technological problems, and advocate persuasively.
The webcast is slated for 12:00-1:00 p.m. on July 29.
Mr. Cacace concentrates his practice on complex civil matters, including business and real estate disputes, intellectual property litigation, labor and employment litigation and counseling, professional malpractice, civil rights, and class actions. He has experience litigating at all levels of state and federal courts and resolving disputes via arbitration and mediation.
Ms. Olien represents businesses of all sizes, educational institutions, and individuals in a variety of complex commercial and civil disputes and investigations. Her experience includes resolving contractual issues, matters involving officers and directors of corporate and nonprofit boards, disputes between business partners, and disputes between employers and employees.
