Michael DiStefano chosen as an Up and Coming Lawyer
Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly has chosen Michael R. DiStefano as an Up and Coming Lawyer as part of its 2018 Excellence in the Law event.
Slated for May 10, 2018, the annual gala event celebrates excellence throughout the legal community by honoring individuals in six categories: Up & Coming Lawyers, Excellence in Firm Administration/Operations, Marketing, Paralegal Work, Legal Journalism, and Pro Bono.
Mr. DiStefano concentrates his practice in the areas of government investigations and criminal defense, including defending clients at trial and in pre-indictment government investigations.
Prior to joining Todd & Weld, Mr. DiStefano was a veteran prosecutor, conducting numerous jury trials in a variety of criminal matters, and conducting extensive white collar criminal investigations. He was an Assistant Attorney General in the Office of Attorney General of Massachusetts, and, before moving to the Office of Attorney General, an Assistant District Attorney in the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.
Mr. DiStefano is a magna cum laude graduate of New England School of Law, and cum laude graduate of Colby College.
