"I am honored and excited to be part of the leadership program, and am looking forward to broadening my professional experiences," Ms. Basaria said.

"We are excited to have Ms. Basaria as a member of the 2020 Women's Leadership Initiative," said WBA President Jennifer Saubermann.  "The Initiative supports the WBA's goal of advancing women in the legal profession and we are looking forward to a fulfilling and promising year."

Ms. Basaria concentrates her civil litigation practice on commercial disputes, employment law, personal injury matters, and criminal defense.

She is past president of the South Asian Bar Association of Greater Boston, and currently serves as Secretary on the Board of Trustees of the South Asian Bar Association of North America Foundation.  Ms. Basaria is a 2017 graduate of the Massachusetts Bar Association's Leadership Academy, and currently serves as Secretary of the MBA's Young Lawyers Division's Board of Directors, and as a member of the MBA's Diversity Task Force.
