Shayla Mombeleur moderates two-part webinar on restorative justice
Shayla Mombeleur is moderator of a two-part webinar hosted by the Massachusetts Bar Association addressing restorative justice in the court system.
At its core, restorative justice attempts to substitute rehabilitation for punishment in criminal cases.
The webinar – scheduled for Jan. 25 and Feb. 8 – will cover numerous topics, including the historical background of restorative justice, current pilot projects in state and federal courts, and successful advocacy for restorative justice as an alternative case resolution.
Panelists will include federal and state court judges as well as restorative justice thought leaders.
Ms. Mombeleur presently serves as MBA Secretary and concentrates her practice on criminal defense and government investigations.
