Winter 2020 Family Law Newsletter: Ex-wife can pursue fraudulent conveyance claim to ‘claw back' millions

The recently published Winter 2020 Family Law Newsletter discusses a recent court ruling allowing an ex-wife to “claw back” millions of hidden assets.  A federal appeals court ruled that the ex-wife is a creditor by law, and post-divorce can seek to regain the assets she claims were fraudulently conveyed by her deceased ex-husband.

The Winter 2020 newsletter, published by partner Gary Owen Todd, assesses other important Family Law issues, including the pros and cons of remote court hearings in divorce cases,  the importance of completing a prenuptial agreement before a marriage, and how both spouses in the event of a divorce can share in a valuable gift from a family member of one of the spouses.

Mr. Todd, a Founding Partner at the firm, is recognized locally and nationally as a preeminent family law attorney concentrating on domestic relations and probate litigation.  He has successfully negotiated, mediated, and tried numerous family law issues at the trial court and appellate levels.
